Idiyappams or String Hoppers are basically sevai or seviyan made from rice flour dough. Idiyappam, along with puttu and appam, is a common breakfast in South India.

Idiyappam recipe: Take the required amount of flour in a bowl and pour warm water and knead it like chapati dough and soak it for five minutes. Squeeze the Idiyappam into the Idly plate and let it cook for five minutes. Then squeeze coconut and add sugar to eat. Idiyappam is ready.
